This piece is one of my favourites. It replaced a dated 50's built in unit with gold veined mirrored tiles and sliding glass bypass doors.
It isn't always physically possible, but I am very fond of designs that integrate seamlessly into the existing space. This piece is located in the compact dining area of a mid-century bungalow.
Aside from being visually intriguing, the exposed wine rack conveys the purpose of the structure.
A pullout shelf for cocktail prep allows the possibility of the removal of the dining table and chairs for larger gatherings.
The shelves above hold the cocktail supplies and there is a much larger storage space concealed below.
